Visits and Excursions
Brooke House’s excellent location in the heart of England means that our students are able to visit most of the major attractions that the country has to offer. There are two full-day excursions and one half-day excursion
each week included in the cost of the course. Our programme provides a unique blend of educational, cultural and recreational trips and, of course, our students always find a little time to shop for those essential souvenirs, presents and treats. Pre-trip briefings in the classroom ensure that each and every student is aware of the relevance of a particular destination and work sheets and organised tours make sure that our students obtain the fullest possible benefit from the outings. Here are just some of the excursions which our students enjoy every year:
London – Sightseeing (Tower of London, London Bridge, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, Horse Guards Parade, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, The Mall, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus).
London – Museums, Galleries and Shopping (Natural History Museum, Science Museum, National Gallery, Tate Gallery, Piccadilly, Covent Garden, Harrods)
Oxford– Guided walking tour and visit to Christ College
Cambridge – Guided walking tour, punting on the river and visit to Kings College
York - Guided Tour of the Minster and Walk on City Walls.
Woburn Safari Park – Safari at park and zoo.
Alton Towers – Visit to the UK’s biggest and best theme park.

Rutland Water – Cycling around Europe’s largest manmade lake
